A romantic place, at the moment a lot is still being built and maintained. Otherwise it's okay. Beautiful area, will definitely stop by again.

A great stop during a great hike (Ostheimer). Very tasty food, plentiful and served quickly. Friendly service. We had the pikeperch. It's been a long time since I eaten such delicious pikeperch. Cappuccino afterwards was also a hit. After that, the hiking was so nice again.

We made a nice hike through the Rhön and arrived at Lichtenburg at noon. The guest room was cozy and rustically rustic (suitable for the castle) furnished. There was a small, but fine, day ticket - we all found a suitable dish for us. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We'll be back!

The kitchen and wait staff seem overwhelmed with a group. Cheese spaetzle are very tasty, but the size seems to be intended for seniors or as a children's plate. The salad consisted of a leaf, plucked several times and a spoonful of carrot salad, € 10.50.

We were there on 10.07.17 with 8 people. Unfortunately the restaurant is a little out of the way but the setting is unique in the area. And the food and service were worth the trip. You can climb the keep for little money. There is home-style cuisine in a rustic atmosphere at very moderate prices. Everything was done with fresh ingredients. Absolute insider tip at the place we go there again during our vacation.
